When COVID-19 hit, many of us retreated into our homes, only venturing out for a quick walk.
The restrictions on group activities put a pause to Parkrun, one of Brisbane’s most loved free community-run fitness programs.
But now COVID restrictions have well and truly eased in Queensland, Parkrun groups are rebooting across the river city.
Runners are returning to parks and foreshores by their hundreds, all keen to hit the track.
So why not join them?
All Parkruns are 5 kilometers in length and entirely volunteer-run.
You don’t have to be fit either – you can run/walk at your own pace.
It’s all about getting out, breathing fresh air, and being social.
A huge number of suburbs have a Parkrun group – so there’s bound to be one near you!
