WHAT’S ON: CHRISTMAS ON THE SOUTHSIDE

Christmas festivities are well and truly underway across Brisbane. Here’s a list of upcoming events around the southside for the whole family to enjoy.

CALAMVALE CHRISTMAS MARKETS – DECEMBER 7

Hosted by Cr Emily Kim, these markets include food vans, kids entertainment and community stalls.

Location: Calamvale District Park, Saturday December 7 at 3pm.

BULIMBA COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS MARKETS – DECEMBER 

Kick off the festive season by shopping small and supporting local businesses! Discover unique gifts and handmade treasures perfect for your holiday giving.

Enjoy the sounds of The Floorburners as they bring you all your favoUrite Christmas classics and dance hits from the 50s to the 90s! Get ready to hit the dance floor.

This event also includes food trucks, DIY craft station, live children’s show and a visit from Santa. Hosted by Cr Lucy Collier.

ROTARY CLUB OF MOUNT GRAVATT CHRISTMAS FAIR – NOVEMBER 30

This a free family friendly event. There will be plenty of activities including market stalls, food trucks, carols at candlelight and a Christmas movie. Santa will be making a guest appearance.

LOCATION: MOUNT GRAVATT SHOWGROUNDS 4PM-9PM

REDLAND BAY: THE CAGE CHRISTMAS BY THE BAY – NOVEMBER 30

Christmas by The Bay is an event for the whole family. The event will feature live performances on stage and roving entertainment, a Kidz Zone hosted by Fairy Raine, face painting, balloon twisting, arts & crafts activities for the children, along with a petting zoo. A gold coin donation to local P&C gives off-street parking along Broadwater Terrace next to the Redland Bay Hotel for easy access to Stradbroke Street.

MULTICAP CHRISTMAS MARKETS AND CAROLS – DECEMBER 6

Featuring market stalls, food trucks, and loads of free entertainment for the whole family, including face painting, a petting zoo, a magician, dancers, Santa, and community choirs singing all your favourite carols, you won’t want to miss it!

LOCATION: Multicap Meadows, Eight Mile Plains 3pm-7pm

ACACIA RIDGE CHRISTMAS FAMILY FUN DAY – DECEMBER 14

Join Souths Sports Club’s Community Christmas Fun Day and Fireworks Spectacular, a festive celebration for the whole family. Enjoy live entertainment, fun inflatables, arts and crafts, Christmas carols, and a special visit from Santa. The evening culminates with a dazzling fireworks display. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, ensuring a magical holiday experience for all.

LOCATION: SOUTHS SPORTS CLUB, ACACIA RIDGE 4PM-8.30PM

ROCKLEA SHOWGROUNDS CHRISTMAS MARKET – DECEMBER 14 

This wonderful community event will have something for everyone with heaps of Market Stalls, Food Trucks, Live Music, Free Kids Craft, Christmas Activities, Face Painting, Jumping Castle and of course a visit from Santa!! Come along for a wonderful Christmas filled evening and get a special gift from one of our many vendors.

LOCATION: Showgrounds Markets, Rocklea 2pm-7pm
