WHAT’S ON: NORTH BRISBANE CHRISTMAS EVENTS

Christmas is fast approaching and Brisbane’s northern suburbs are jam packed with family friendly events to get into the festive spirit. Here’s a list of a few we’ve heard of.

CARSELDINE: CAROLS ON THE FIELD 30 NOVEMBER 

The Rotary Club of Aspley is once again hosting the Christmas Carols and Markets at the Aslpley Hornets. Markets and rides kick off from 4pm and the Carols begin at 5pm. This event also includes food trucks, face painting, a jumping castle and a visit from Santa.

NORTH LAKES CHRISTMAS CAROLS – NOVEMBER 30

Bring your best vocals and a blanket to spread out, relax and enjoy a magical evening including carols, free kids activities and workshops, Christmas fireworks, Santa Village, food trucks and some last minute Christmas gift shopping at the twilight markets.

WHERE: Kinsellas Park, North Lakes 4pm-8pm

SANDGATE: CAROLS BY THE BAY – December 5th

Celebrating the Christmas spirit and the musical talents of our local schools, this event is a special one for the community. We are welcoming students from Brighton, Nashville, Sandgate and Boondall State Schools this year, our biggest choir yet! There will be food, drinks and Lions cakes for sale and a special visit from Santa.

Location: Einbunpin Lagoon from 5pm on Thursday December 5th.

SANDGATE: JINGLE ALL THE BAY – DECEMBER 7

This event runs from 3.30pm until 9pm and includes food trucks and markets, live music, rides, the art trail. Not to mention the street parade from 7.30pm and a visit from Santa himself.

BRACKEN RIDGE CAROLS SPECTACULAR – 15 DECEMBER 

There will be food trucks and music starting from 4pm with the main Carols show starting at 7pm. Bring your picnic rugs, camping chairs, glow sticks, and prepare for a wonderful night of celebrating Christmas together with the rest of the community!

This event includes rides, an animal farm and fireworks.

Location: Norris Road State School, Bracken Ridge

NUNDAH CHRISTMAS TWILIGHT MARKETS: DECEMBER 7

Get ready to sleigh the season at Nundah Christmas Twilight Market! This isn’t your average Christmas event—expect a night filled with epic vibes, festive beats, and seriously delicious holiday treats!

LOCATION: Nundah Market, 4pm-10pm

MURRUMBA CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR: DECEMBER 7

Bring your little elves along for this very merry, north of Brisbane Xmas carols community event. Featuring food trucks, stage entertainment, kids activities and of course Christmas carols you’re sure to get into the Christmas spirit. Plus don’t miss a visit from Sant and the fireworks show at 8pm!

LOCATION: John Oxley Reservce, Murrumba Downs 4pm-8pm

BOONDALL WETLANDS: 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS – BUSH KINDY: DECEMBER 12

This special Christmas-themed Bush Kindy. Immerse yourselves in the natural beauty of the reserve, where children can explore the gifts of the natural environment and build confidence through bushwalks, storytelling, art and craft activities, and more.

Bush Kindy is designed for children aged 3 to 5 years, along with their parents and caregivers.

Sessions last up to 45 minutes and will proceed in light rain. Each week features a different theme, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience.
