As you may have heard, the Olympic Games are underway in Tokyo.

It’s been quite the lead up to the event, which will largely be spectator free, with a heap of athletes pulling out due to contracting COVID.

To get prepared, we’re going to shoot some facts at you:

474 Olympians will be representing Australia – 125 of whom are from the sunshine state.

Of those Queenslanders, 70 are female, 4 are Indigenous, 24 make up the swim team, and 4 make up the weightlifting team.

There’s also an exciting change this Olympics! Surfing, karate, softball, skating, and climbing have been introduced to the games.
