Homeless Connect will be held on Friday 3 November at the Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills (corner of Alexandria Street and Gregory Terrace).
This is an important event that is run by volunteers to help those in our community who are doing it tough.
On the day, our most vulnerable residents can get access to medical and allied health care, haircuts, personal grooming items, clothing, shoes and employment and community support.
A donation drive is happening right now and the non-perishable food and toiletries needed the most are:
Canned tuna and salmon
Toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant
Shaving cream and blades
Coffee and tea
Long-life milk
Canned soup and vegetables
Rice and pasta
Body wash, shampoo and conditioner
Cereal and muesli bars
Donations can be made between now and 20 October 2023 at at your closest Ward Office or Brisbane City Council library.
