It’s one of the most anticipated events on the Bangladeshi calendar.
The Bangladesh Association in Brisbane Inc. (BAB) will be running the Bengali New Year and Multicultural Festival 2021 (Boishakhee Mela 1428) this year which is expected to attract thousands of people.
“This event usually incorporates a day-long program, showcasing a variety of multinational pop-up stalls, cultural programs, and performances by children, local artists and celebrities” – BAB.
There will also be lots of delicious cultural food, toys for the kids and the festival will finish with an impressive fireworks display.
The festivities kick off at 11am and run through to 9pm.
This year the stage will be set at Robelle Doman in Springfield Central.
