A Christmas Carol, Playhouse Theatre, QPAC. December 12-24
This Christmas classic follows Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve and taken through past, present, and future to confront his choices and seek redemption.
The story comes to life with a grand-in-scale production and set with live music, carolling, detailed costumes and even snow! The Courier Mail describes it as “the most uplifting theatrical experience you’ll have this year.”
Christmas in Brisbane, Brisbane City, Now – December 24
Enjoy free events and experiences in Brisbane City. Grab a friend and an iced drink and take a stroll around the city checking out this year’s tiny doors. Swing by Queen Street for Christmas on Queen from 11am-3pm daily with additional performances from 4pm to 8pm on 5-7, 12-14 & 19-23 December. Then, revel in song and dance with the Starz Christmas Spectacular running shows on the Queen Street stage from 15–18 and 22-24 December with shows at 5pm, 6pm or the King George Square show at 7pm. Right after this show, you can view the City Hall Christmas Lights at 7:30pm.
Also this weekend, you will find the BrisStyle Twilight Markets from 4pm-7pm. Come for the markets, stay for the light show!
A Christmas Dreamscape
Brought to life by the Paradox Dance Company, A Christmas Dreamscape follows a young girl who drifts into a magical world on Christmas Eve. Along the way, she meets enchanting fairy‑tale figures who reveal that the true spirit of the season lies not in glitter or gifts, but in love, connection, and giving from the heart.
Catch it on the Queen Street Mall stage, with shows on 19–21 December at 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm.
Sono Lumo, Queens Wharf, daily from 6pm-10pm
Sono Lumo is back, fusing timeless Christmas traditions with cutting-edge technology in a spectacular celebration of the season. As night falls, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will transform into a steampunk-inspired wonderland, alive with dazzling light, immersive soundscapes, and festive magic.
From now until the 21st, audiences can revel in an electrifying mix of music, dynamic lighting displays, roving performers, interactive installations, curated bars, food trucks, and more, creating an unforgettable Christmas festival of sound and light.
Wynnum Wonderland, daily until 22nd December
Off the back of a successful Wynnum Fringe, creative director Tom Oliver has teamed up with Head First Acrobats (Railed, Godz) and Trigger Happy Productions (Swamplesque) to present Wynnum Wonderland.
Step inside the Augathella Spiegeltent for a month-long extravaganza of festive delights featuring delicious food, lively twilight markets, and unforgettable entertainment that captures the spirit of the season.

Christmas at Bluey’s World, Hamilton. Now until January 4th, Various times
Spend Christmas with the Heeler’s! The family home has been adorned with Christmas lights and decorations, ready for your visit. Be sure to try some of the pavlova! If that is not your thing, you can always grab a treat from the Golden Crown Takeaway and enjoy carolling in the neighbourhood. Bingo and Bluey will be around for photos, too!
