NOMINATE A LOCAL MUM IN NEED

Do you know a mum who could do with a hand? Let’s face it, most mothers are stretched trying to balance the busy life of having children with other responsibilities. It takes a village.

The Nurtured Village Hampers are taking nominations for their August round of donations, where they’ll visit a local mum with a car boot load full of home-cooked meals, non-perishables, essential items, and gifts.

August nominations are now open until 6pm this Friday 9 August.

The Nurtured Village is an Australia wide charity dedicated to the prevention and advocacy of maternal mental health disorders by creating communities for mums.

They have volunteers dedicated to helping mums across Brisbane during their journey of parenthood.

Morningside Councillor Lucy Collier has been a supporter of the charity.

Since August 2019, The Nurtured Village have delivered thousands of pantry items, baby essentials, nappies, wipes, home-cooked meals and small gifts to families all around Australia and it has become much more than just the hampers.

You can find out more about the organisation by visiting their website.
