HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE FUTURE OF KEDRON BROOK

If you’re a Kedron Brook regular—whether you’re walking the dog, cycling the trails, or just enjoying some fresh air by the water—now’s your chance to help shape its future.

Brisbane City Council has launched a new round of community consultation, asking residents to identify the areas they should focus on when planning rejuvenation projects over the next 20 years.

Council wants to know what you value about Kedron Brook, what could be improved, and what future projects you’d like to see. Whether it’s better paths, more shade, native vegetation restoration, flood resilience, or even ideas for community events and education, your feedback will help inform the brook’s future planning.

Kedron Brook winds its way through a string of Brisbane’s northside, from the base of the D’Aguilar Range all the way to Moreton Bay. Over the years, it’s become a go-to spot for residents looking to unwind in nature without leaving the city. With growing use and a changing climate, the Brisbane City Council is keen to hear from locals on how the brook could be better preserved, improved, and enjoyed.

You can share your thoughts through an online survey on the Brisbane City Council’s website, attend a community drop-in session, or take part in pop-up events that will be happening along the brook over the coming weeks:

• 3-5pm Thursday, 1 May, Dash Street Park

• 8-10am Saturday, 10 May, Grinstead Park

• 3-5pm Wednesday, 14 May, Shaw Estate Park

• 3-5pm Thursday, 15 May, Teralba Park

• 8-10am Saturday, 17 May, Kalinga Park

• 8-10am Saturday, 24 May, Hickey Park

• 9am-3pm Sunday, 25 May, Sustainable BNE Festival, Roma Street Parklands

For more details and to complete the survey, head to the Brisbane City Council website.

Feedback closes 11.59pm on Sunday June 29, 2025. A final Vision and Master Plan is set to be released mid to late 2026.
