BRIGHTON FORESHORE UPGRADES DELAYED

Brisbane City Council has revealed the final concept plans for the Brighton Foreshore upgrade.

The project has received a $5million funding commitment from the Federal Labor Government, but Brisbane City Council have revealed construction will be delayed until 2026.

Deagon Ward Councillor Jared Cassidy has expressed his disappointment, saying he plan was released before he was briefed.

“A letter released to local residents also states that there’s no funds for other features, but it’s not clear what the LNP Council are referring to,” Cr Cassidy said.

Brisbane City Council committed to this upgrade 13 years ago and it is still not delivered.
