Northsiders are gearing up for a family fun weekend, with the Brisbane Emergency Services Expo in Chermside on Saturday and the return of the annual Geebung Street Party this Sunday, 13 October.
The Brisbane Emergency Services Expo aims to help Brisbane residents prepare for the summer whilst entertaining the whole family.

Talk to emergency service crews and learn how you can prepare your home and family for storm season. Be prepared for severe weather by making an emergency plan.
Don’t miss Paw Patrol, jumping castles, live music, food trucks and more. Entry is free. Located in 7th Brigade Park on the corner of Newman Road and Delaware Street in Chermside on Saturday 12 October.

The Geebung Street Party has something for the whole family, including local entertainment, food, market stalls and free kids activities.

Geebung Street Party is an initiative of Federal Member for Lilley, Anika Wells, State MP Bart Mellish and Deagon Ward Councillor Jared Cassidy.
The fun starts at 10am in Collings Street, Geebung and wraps up at 3pm.
