Fashion is one of many mediums we use to illustrate and celebrate culture.

The BrisAsia Festival 2022 Fashion Event is set to be an explosion of colourful, daring creations.

On Friday 25 March, designers from nearly all corners of the globe will display their genius at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall.

The events will span for an epic 8 hours featuring 15 designers, over 150 outfits and 17 models.

“Packed with stunning new looks from an exciting range of labels that reflect fashion inspired by and developed from their Asian, Indigenous and International influences, both shows feature front-row seating for every guest,” said BrisAsia Festival Fashion Director Liz Golding.

Before the show, internationally-renowned designers Akira Isogawa from the Akira label, Natalie Cunningham from Australian Aboriginal luxury fashion label Native Swimwear Australia and Sher Lo from Indian-inspired and Brisbane-based label Anannasa will host a fashion forum.

“It will explore cultural influence in fashion and how these designers embrace and draw on their cultural heritage and international influences to create their creative vision, perspectives and collections,” Liz Golding said.

The BrisAsia Festival Fashion Event is supporting local charity Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice, through donations from ticket sales.
