Holy Spirit College at Fitzgibbon is already enrolling grade 7 students, gearing up for its 2022 launch.
The new Northside school is a Catholic secondary college, looking to sign up around 96 students for its inaugural year, but will eventually have spots for around 900.
“Education at Holy Spirit College is characterised by hope and moral purpose” – Holy Spirit College website.
“By encouraging students to strive for lifelong excellence according to their individual gifts we call on them to pursue justice in our community and society.”

To help with construction costs, the state government has chipped in over $1.3 million.
The funding is part of the Queensland governments $1 billion “Great schools. Great Future” plan.
The money will be used to significantly ease the external infrastructure costs associated with capital works projects.

“Schools typically use the funds for a wide range of important works such as new buildings including specialist classrooms, libraries, canteens and sports courts,” Member for Sandgate Stirling Hinchliffe said.
