Women make up just one third (0.34%) of Brisbane City Council’s workforce according to figures recently released.

The data also shows that female employees are paid less than males in 5 out of 6 Council divisions.

Brisbane City Council Gender Pay Gap (Divisional Breakdown)

The statistics show a pay gap of almost 20% in City Administration and Governance, in favour of male employees.

That division is made up of just 88 males and 203 females.

Brisbane Infrastructure has the lowest pay gap of just over 6%, in favour of female employees.

Out of the 2,339 employees in Brisbane Infrastructure, just 494 are women.
