Queensland’s largest LGBTIQ+ festival fair day is returning to its original home in West End this September.
Following the disruptions of the past two years, the 2022 Brisbane Pride Festival Fair Day will take place in Musgrave Park on Saturday, 24 September from 10am to 5pm.
The park will transform into an energetic, fun-filled loud and proud playground – featuring live performances, exciting and enticing stalls and delicious street food.
The march and rally will start at 930am in Orleigh Park, and finish at 10am in Musgrave Park.
For more than 30 years, Brisbane’s LGBTIQ+ community has come together to celebrate diversity. Brisbane Pride Festival’s history runs deep within the hearts and minds of Queenslanders.
The event is Queensland’s largest and the country’s third largest LGBTIQ+ major event, and attracts more than 50,000 festival-goers over a four-week period.
Community grant applications are now open – which are offered to the community to lead LGBTIQ+ safe initiatives or events, for and with the community in September.
EOIs for Performers and Stall Applications have also been released.
Organisers are expecting a high number of applications – entertainers are encouraged to apply now.
