From 5pm tonight, Greater Brisbane will go into lockdown for three days in a bid to combat a growing cluster of COVID-19 infections.

There were 10 new cases recorded overnight, four of which were spread within the community, the rest were identified in hotel quarantine.

Residents in Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Logan, Redlands and Ipswich are all apart of the mandatory lockdown.

Masks are mandatory within those areas when you leave your home and you may only leave for essential work, to look after a vulnerable person, for exercise or to buy food.

Schools will also close except to vulnerable children or the children of essential workers.

If you are anywhere else in Queensland you’re also urged to wear a mask in public, but they are not mandatory.
