Nominations for the Queensland Greats Awards (QGAs) are now open.
But what are they and who can be nominated?
The QGAs are awarded to individuals and organisations that have made invaluable contributions to our state.
The honour is reserved for truly remarkable people. Previous awardees include Denise and Bruce Morcombe, Clive Berghofer, Wayne Bennett, and Kay McGrath.
“The Queensland Greats Awards recognises extraordinary Queenslanders who have made a long term contribution to, or whose achievements have significantly impacted, the history and development of Queensland.”
You can nominate either an individual, an institution or Posthumous (to honour deceased individuals).
The winners names are placed in a monument in Brisbane’s Roma Street Parklands.

Nominations for 2022 close on Jan 31 and the Queensland Greats will be announced in June.
