August is Queensland Walks Month, which is a fantastic way Brisbane residents to discover walking paths and trails in our region.

Executive Officer Queensland Walks Anna Campbell said whether you walk, run, stroll or roll, there are places outdoors and in, for everyone to start walking.

“Simply get out there during August and join the online discussion via social media. Not only will you enjoy the endless benefits of walking, you will also help to profile and improve the walkability of our beautiful state for every body – all ages and abilities,” said Ms Campbell added.

BECOME A COMMUNITY WALKING CORRESPONDENT

“We have some fantastic Community Walking Correspondents who are gathering their walking experiences, photos and reels to share throughout August.” said Ms Campbell.

“We can’t wait to hear from more budding correspondents with an interest in sharing their own weird, wild and wonderful walking spaces as a means of celebrating as well as advocating for maintenance or adaptations to ensure accessibility for all members of the community.”
