Brisbane City Hall will light up every colour of the rainbow this June for the annual Queens Ball.
Brisbane Pride is running the event which is in it’s 60th year.
“The Queens Ball Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of people and organisations that work within the LGBTIQ+ Community in Queensland,” – event organisers.
The Gala Dinner (on June 19) is set to be a spectacle to say the least.
There will be performances, scrumptious food and so much more.
“The atmosphere of the Queens Ball is one of great resilience, community recognition and PRIDE!” – event organisers.

The history of the event stretches back to the 1960’s.
According to reports it started as a house party in on Mount Tamborine and today is the world’s longest running LGBTIQ+ community event.
