Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols
Brisbane families will be spoilt for choice for things to do this Christmas with a swag of activities to suit all ages and importantly budgets.
One of the most eagerly anticipated events will be the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols to be held at Riverstage, City Botanic Gardens on Saturday, 10 December 2022.
At just $5 (under 18 years of age free) people are urged to get in early to avoid disappointment as tickets are limited and are expected to go as fast as Santa’s sleigh delivering presents on Christmas Eve.
Tickets will go on sale at 9am Monday, 21 November 2022, via Ticketmaster.
The Lott by Golden Casket City Hall Lights
With inflation biting and your dollar not stretching as far as it used to why not get along to watch Brisbane’s historical City Hall come to life in a sea of spectacular lighting and audio displays.
The free show occurs every 15 minutes from 7.30pm to midnight daily from 9–24 December.
Another budget friendly item on the to-do-list is the Christmas Cinema presented by eatSouthBank at the open-air cinema at River Quay with free screenings of your favourite Christmas movies at 6pm and 8pm, from 17-22 December.
It’s free and no bookings required.
Brisbane City Christmas Tree
Think you have a big Christmas tree at home then be prepared to be impressed by the Brisbane City Council Christmas Tree which will be on display in King George Square from 25 November, 2022 until 8 January, 2023.
Standing at 22 metres tall it’s well worth having a look.
Lord Mayor’s Seniors Christmas Parties at Brisbane City Hall
In 2022 there will be 14 shows held across five days.
Enjoy some light refreshments and join in the carol singing which will feature all your favourite tunes.
Two shows daily from Monday 5 December to Friday 9 December, plus additional evening shows from Tuesday 6 December to Friday 9 December.
