Today’s edition of our introduction to the local community champions seeking to represent you in City Hall in 2024 takes us to Holland Park.
Meet Shane Warren, Labor’s candidate for Holland Park

Shane loves being a part of the Holland Park community and has been out talking with locals about their needs and what they want to see from their local Councillor.
His extensive experience as a social worker means he knows how to listen and has a track record supporting people from diverse backgrounds. Shane is committed to social justice, in providing more house and homelessness support and is ready to be Holland Park’s voice in City Hall.
Shane’s research into housing and homelessness means he has a real and genuine understanding of these critical issues, and has the knowledge and experience needed to address them as part of a strong Labor team in Council.
Like many Holland Park locals, Shane has seen the focus of the current local Councillor shift away from the suburbs and to the inner city. The people of Camp Hill, Carina Heights, Holland Park, Holland Park West, Mt Gravatt, Mt Gravatt East and Tarragindi deserve a representative that will fight for them and their fair share.
Shane is determined to see better access to housing, the prevention of domestic and family violence and to make sure Brisbane’s young people are afforded great opportunities to be heard and to succeed. His focus will be on delivering for the suburbs.
